Retired Physician Continues Care through Planned Gift

Retired physician Dr. Lawrence B. Crowson, Jr., passed away in July 2020. Dr. Crowson was a treasured member of Huntsville Hospital's medical community, having served as Chief of the OB-GYN pision at Huntsville Hospital and President of the Madison County Medical Society.

Dr. Crowson was also a thoughtful giver. In 1992, he set up a Charitable Remainder Unitrust. This estate planning tool provided income to Dr. Crowson during his lifetime and, at his death, the remainder passed to Huntsville Hospital Foundation to impact the future of our community hospitals.

Gifts like Dr. Crowson's have the potential of making a lasting impact for patients across North Alabama.
